Acceptance
By using Matchum ("the service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 14 years old to use Matchum — or older, if the law where you live sets a higher minimum age. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the service only with a parent or guardian's permission where required.
The service
Matchum is a preset-based AI writing assistant. It helps you translate, polish, and rewrite workplace text across many languages. You choose a task, language, context, and tone; we return structured suggestions.
The service includes free access with daily usage limits (including lower limits for guests) and optional paid subscriptions. Current plan limits, billing intervals, and localized totals are shown on the pricing page and in checkout before you purchase.
Accounts
If you create an account, provide accurate information and keep your credentials safe. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us if you believe someone else has access.
Payments, renewals & cancellation
Paddle acts as merchant of record and authorized reseller for paid subscriptions. The checkout shows the price, currency, billing interval, applicable tax, and available payment methods before you confirm payment. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the interval shown in checkout until canceled. You can cancel through Manage billing in Account settings; cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Refund requests are handled under Paddle's refund policy and any rights required by applicable law.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for unlawful purposes
- Submit content you are not allowed to process
- Abuse, disrupt, or overload the service
- Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or security measures
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape the service beyond normal use
Text you send is processed by third-party AI providers. Their acceptable use and content policies also apply to what you submit.
Your content & output
You retain rights in the text you submit and in the outputs you receive, subject to the rights of third-party providers and applicable law. You are responsible for what you submit and for how you use the results.
Do not submit confidential, proprietary, or sensitive personal information you are not prepared to share with our AI providers. See our Privacy Policy for how text is processed.
AI output disclaimer
Translations and rewrites can be wrong, incomplete, or off-tone. Review every result before you send or rely on it. Matchum is a writing aid, not professional legal, medical, financial, or other advice.
Third-party services
The service depends on third parties including Google (Gemini), Groq, Supabase, and Paddle. Outages, quota limits, or policy changes at those providers can affect availability or quality. We are not responsible for their systems beyond what we reasonably control.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Matchum and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim (or zero if the service was free).
Changes, suspension, termination
We may change, suspend, or discontinue the service (or your access) at any time, including for abuse, security risk, or to protect the service and other users. You may stop using the service at any time. Before deleting an account with a billable subscription, cancel it through Manage billing and wait for the paid period to end. Account settings then permanently delete your profile and saved product data. Limited billing and transaction records may remain with Paddle or be retained in unlinked form where needed for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, or refunds. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the product or our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
